Township Road One Twenty Four II

While experimenting with the colour of the first in this series, I discovered that I really enjoy working with the colours of the prairie sunset. This was the first time that I purchased a canvas with a very clear painting in mind. The tall chunk of sky that can be depicted creates a spectacular end of hallway piece.

Unlike the Backyard Aspens I that requires a very large wall to be able to showcase the work, this piece has great narrow lines and great height that can be used in much more confined spaces.

Again the colour play becomes the main aspect of my fun while working on this piece and I love to throw in some vibrant purples alongside the greens and yellows of the open field. The result is a depth of colour that draws your eye toward that far off horizon.
